Rusticity of Thanh Ha traditional pottery village in Quang Nam province

Located in a rustic and peaceful land on the banks of the Thu Bon River in Hoi An city, in the central province of Quang Nam, Thanh Ha pottery village was formed by immigrants from Thanh Hoa province in the 16th century.

Over the past five centuries, the villagers have preserved its unique traditional methods, such as shaping the pottery by hand and on turntables without patterns.

The pottery products from Thanh Ha village were created with diverse colours because they were not enamelled and were baked in traditional wood stoves.

Thanh Ha terra-cotta park is considered as a unique pottery museum in the country, reproducing the process of making the pottery products of the villagers.
