HCMC – If you have been familiar with modern Western-style bars, Qua Thi Wine & Cocktails Bar in District 1, HCMC is definitely a new fantastic venue to discover, where traditional culture is incorporated in every corner.

Inspired by “Tam Cam” (The Story of Tam and Cam), a well-known Vietnamese fairy tale, the bar is beautifully decorated with vintage items such as folk paintings and bamboo curtains.

Guests will have vintage photos worth a thousand likes on Facebook or Instagram with the background of royal patterns and images such as peacock tails, dragon and phoenix.

All of the decorations are carefully chosen by the bar’s owner, Misoa Kim Anh, one of the leading MCs and beauty bloggers in Vietnam.

The name of the bar is “Qua Thi” (yellow tropical fruit also known as gold apple), an important detail of “The Story of Tam and Cam”, from where Tam steps out and continues her journey.

“I want to create a place for young single men and women to meet and chill. Everybody can come here to find new friends and partners,” Misoa said.

Qua Thi offers a wide variety of drinks, which are creative and unique. Some of the bar’s signature cocktails are Xi Xon, Vang Anh Vang Anh, Luu Ly, Banh Beo, and Qua Thi’s Sangria.

Guests can enjoy live acoustic shows featuring young artists or DJ performances at Qua Thi every weekend.
